Another one of our summer projects involved moving the 7-12 office from the 2nd floor to the first floor. The new location provides easier access for most classrooms as well as provides a location where students and families who enter from the east entrance can be seen and greeted immediately upon entering the building. Here you will find Ms. Pierce's and Mr. Tedesco's offices.
In addition, Mrs. Phillips' is now located by the west entrance so anyone who enters through those doors is seen and greeted as well.
These changes help improve our building security as well as provide an opportunity to positively interact with our staff when you enter the building.
A big thank you to Mr. Stone and our maintenance department for renovating these spaces to make this possible.

Today was NEW TEACHER day at East Sac County!!! Welcome to the ESC Team!! This group of smiling educators are new or returning to the ESC district! Some are first year teachers while others have years of teaching experience. Thank you for choosing ESC and doing what it takes to help our students and community!!! It's going to be another GREAT year at ESC! A SPECIAL THANKS to the East Sac PTO for providing a welcome lunch at The Pelican Pub in Lake View to our new teachers, mentors, and leaders!!!

What I enjoy most about teaching is watching the students become more confident in their skill knowledge and overall success the students are able to achieve.” Robyn had previously taught at East Sac County for 6 years as a junior high special education teacher. She spent the last two years working for Prairie Lakes AEA as a special education consultant.

To ensure all families have time to hear from their child’s teachers and understand what this new approach means for student learning and assessment, we will be following a structured schedule by grade level.

Parents will rotate through short classroom sessions. Each teacher will explain the new grading system and share expectations for the year.
5:30–5:45 PM - Session 1
5:50–6:05 PM - Session 2
6:10–6:25 PM - Session 3
6:30–6:45 PM - Session 4
6:45–7:00 PM - Q&A or Additional Visit Time
Feel free to attend multiple sessions if you have children in different grade levels.

This group will follow a slightly different format, with two full-grade presentations in the band room, followed by time to visit classrooms.

A quick message from Mr. Tedesco on the ESC Jr/Sr High Cell Phone Policy Update for new school year.
In accordance with Iowa House File 782 and the adoption of the 2025-26 student handbook by the East Sac County School Board, East Sac County has updated the student cell phone policy in an effort to support focused learning, mental health of students, and personal growth. Cell phones and smartwatches or other electronic communication devices are not allowed during the school day (8:15 AM–3:15 PM). Phones must be turned off and put away. Reducing screen time helps students stay engaged, improve their academic performance, builds real-world in person communication, and problem-solving skills.
Headphones/earbuds are only allowed when approved by a teacher and connected to their computer for classwork.

This will be Mr. Cox's first year as a teacher. He is coming to East Sac County after graduation from Iowa State University. Thomas is looking forward to helping students build healthy, active lifestyles they can carry with them beyond graduation, while also building meaningful relationships along the way. He’s especially excited to work in the weight room, supporting student-athletes. Helping individuals become not only better athletes and more confident individuals, but also better people both on and off the field/court/track or mat!

With the first day of school approaching, the Jr/Sr high school has two orientation dates for our transitional grades! Messages have gone out to parents and guardians of our 7th, 8th and 9th grade students. 7th and 8th grade students and parents will be able to come in at 6:30pm on Wednesday the 20th and meet first in the big gym and 9th grade students will have their orientation and work through their schedule during the day at 1:45pm on Thursday the 21st. There will be a letter sent through JMC about both events.
Raider Football kicked off the 2025 Season with their annual Youth Football Camp! We had 15 Flag (3rd & 4th) and 19 Tackle (5th & 6th). Thanks for showing up and working hard!!! GO RAIDERS!!!
