On Thursday, April 2, our 8th grade students attended Iowa Central Community College’s Career Day!

Prior to the visit, students chose a field of interest—Health Science, Trades and Agriculture, Arts and Communications, STEM, or Business. During the event, they explored these areas through engaging, hands-on activities and learned more about potential career paths.

This was a wonderful opportunity for students to discover their interests and start thinking about their futures. It was a great day for everyone!

Students even got to plant their own sunflower seed to take home—always a favorite part of the day! 🌻✨

🚒❤️ ESC FCCLA Shows Appreciation to Local First Responders ❤️🚑

ESC FCCLA members were excited to show their gratitude to the incredible first responders in our school district by hosting an omelet breakfast for them and their families! 🥚🍳

Students prepared customized omelets for each attendee — their favorite part of the day — as they enjoyed visiting and getting to know the families who serve our communities. Even with incoming weather forcing the event to move up a day, the chapter still served 45 people!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. This project also allowed our Chapter to achieve one of the eight FCCLA Pillars of Purpose: Strengthening Family Life. ❤️

Makylee Cromwell shared, “I had so much fun learning how to make an omelet and chatting with the volunteer firemen.”

We are proud of our students for giving back in such a meaningful way! 👏🔥
