Elementary students are recognized for consistently following Raider expectations, putting forth their best effort, and being a difference maker within the school.

We’re thrilled to partner with Lakeshore Cyclery from Storm Lake to sponsor a fun and educational Bike Rodeo for the K-2nd graders at East Sac Elementary this Friday! 🚲✨

Our goal? To help our youngest riders learn bike safety, build confidence, and have a blast while doing it! This event is all about community, fun, and keeping our kiddos safe while on two wheels.

On May 14th, our East Sac County FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) members spent the day exploring local career opportunities during their Business Field Trip Day! 💼✨

After discussing potential career interests, students selected a variety of businesses to visit—giving them a firsthand look at how each organization began and what day-to-day operations look like.

This year, the group visited four unique and impressive businesses:

🛡️ State Farm Insurance in Sac City
💚 b.Well Innovative Health and Wellness in Sac City

Our students gained valuable insight, asked great questions, and truly enjoyed learning from professionals in the field. It was an incredible opportunity for everyone involved!

🎨✨ This year we were excited to launch our very first Personalized Art class!

Meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays during an Independent Art period, students explored the 7 Elements of Art: line, shape, color, form, texture, and value. Through a variety of materials and techniques, they were able to experiment, create, and grow their artistic skills.

Our final project was something brand new for everyone involved—clay bobble heads! 🧑‍🎨🖌️

It was a first for both the students and the instructor, and judging by the creativity, laughter, and big smiles along the way, it was a huge success! 😊👏

🐛 Kindergarten Field Trip Fun! 🕷️

Last Wednesday, our Kindergarten classes took an exciting field trip to the Matt Cosgrove River's Edge Discovery Center in Ft. Dodge! This visit was a hands-on extension of their final literacy unit of the year: Entomology. Students have been learning all about insects and arachnids—especially spiders—and their enthusiasm for this adventure was sky high!

During the trip, our young explorers:
🦋 Went on a prairie bug hunt with nets
🕶️ Tried on special “bug glasses” to see the world like insects do
🚶‍♂️ Followed a scavenger hunt along the river walk
🪶 Spotted animal tracks and even had geese “buzz” a couple of groups!
🏞️ Explored the amazing Discovery Center filled with interactive exhibits and hands-on learning

The excitement didn’t end there—the kids were still buzzing about their experience on Thursday!

What a fantastic way to wrap up the school year’s learning! 🌟🐞
