🌹 East Sac County Prom 2026 – Rose Garden! 🌹
We had an incredible turnout with 155 students attending ESC Prom on Saturday! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the night unforgettable.
✨ The juniors set the scene by beautifully decorating the gym on Friday to match their theme, “Rose Garden.”
✨ Junior parents added to the magic by decorating the hallway leading into the gym later that evening.
✨ The planning, organizing, and work from Prom Coordinator - Mrs. Erpelding
Prom day kicked off with the Grand March, followed by professional photos taken by Studio 51. Students then enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Doc’s Place, before dancing the night away to music from DJ Repete! 🎶
The celebration didn’t stop there—Junior Parents hosted a fun-filled and entertaining after-prom event! Students enjoyed inflatables, a golf simulator, card games, blacklist dodgeball, plenty of food, drinks, and more. 🎉

📚 A Special Visit for Our 2nd Graders! 📚
This week, members of the Sac City Kiwanis stopped by the elementary to surprise each of our 2nd grade students with a brand-new book! Their goal was to support and encourage a love of reading—and our students were thrilled! 💛
Leslie from Kiwanis also shared some of the many ways the organization gives back to our community. From providing bike helmets to all 1st graders to serving a pancake lunch to our 5th and 6th graders, Kiwanis continues to make a positive impact on our students year after year. 🥞🚴♂️
Thank you, Sac City Kiwanis, for your generosity, your time, and your continued support of our kids! 🌟

🐝 Our Kindergarten students had a very sweet learning experience this week!
As part of their entomology unit, our students have been studying different insects — and this week’s focus was on bees! To help bring their learning to life, local beekeeper Melanie Hundling visited the classrooms for a hands on lesson the kids will not soon forget.
Melanie shared how she takes care of her bees, showed students the special protective gear beekeepers wear, and answered the many curious questions our young learners had. She even brought an old hive box filled with real honeycomb and (non living) bees so students could see what the inside of a hive looks like.
One of the biggest highlights? Every student got to try on a real bee suit! 🧑🌾🐝
And of course, no bee lesson is complete without a sweet treat — each student enjoyed a honey stick during snack time. 🍯
The excitement continued all day as students were still buzzing about bees when they headed home! 💛🐝

April is National Volunteer Month, and at ESC we know how much our communities do for us every single day so it’s our turn to give back!
Each grade level advisory group created a plan to serve in different ways throughout our community. Students spent time picking up trash, cleaning emergency vehicles, and helping tidy up areas around town. Other groups (not pictured) visited a local nursing home and cleaned ditches near the school.
We’re proud of our students for representing ESC so well and for showing that service and community matter!
