Our EAST SAC 7-12 choir concert tonight was a big hit! Our kids did an amazing job and there was a good mix of high school and junior high in the entire performance!! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our students!

The Sac County ISU Extension office organized an Agriculture Safety Day for ESC 2nd grade students and two surrounding school districts. The classes rotated between stations to learn about being safe around electricity, pets, chemicals, grain bins and washing food. They enjoyed a lunch provided by the donors. At the end Sergeant Meyer demonstrated how he trains with K-9 Havoc. We would like to thank donors and participating businesses that helped put this on for our students: Raccoon Valley REC, Loring Hospital, Sac Co ISU Extension office, Sac County Sheriff's Department, Landus, and the Sac City Police Department!!!

TOMORROW NIGHT!!! Join us for this showcase of ESC talent!!!

On Friday the East Sac First Grade hosted their Spring Parent Read In. This was an opportunity to showcase their hard work in reading with their families. They presented 3 reader's theaters and then enjoyed popsicles while reading some good books with their parents!!!

This morning the sun was shining and smiles were everywhere as Moms came to greet students for High Five Friday!!! It was great to see so many show up, and the students really enjoyed seeing familiar faces! Thank you for taking time to start your day with us!!

Iowa Governor's Scholar Program
Iowa’s top academic students have been chosen by their member schools for the 2025 Governor’s Scholar Program. The Governor’s Office, the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and its title sponsor, the Iowa Farm Bureau, are presenting this recognition to the highest academic achiever selected by their high schools. East Sac County has chosen top ranked senior, Kendall Quirk, for this honor. She attended the awards ceremony Sunday, April 27th at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

A few weeks ago, the East Sac County 3rd grade students had the opportunity to travel to Storm Lake to visit our local DNR Fish Hatchery. While there they learned how to gather fish, collect eggs and fertilize them. They then were able to watch them release the fish down the slide back into the lake. Thank you so much to the Iowa DNR for hosting, the students had a great time!

Today is School Lunch Hero Day! These ladies work very hard to keep our kids happy, healthy, and well fed when they are here at school and throughout summer lunch program! Today we THANK them for their work and and acknowledge their importance in the school district and the community!!!

It is traditional that on May 1st colleges want to know if you plan to attend their institution or not. We celebrated ALL seniors on Decision Day for the class of 2025! Students enjoyed juice pouches and donuts from Dorothy Jane's Bakery in Lake View while watching a slideshow of their classmates' plans for after graduation. Jared, our College and Career Transition Counselor, brought t-shirts for all of the students attending Iowa Central Community College. Students snapped pictures and enjoyed the company of their peers as their senior year is quickly coming to an end. Please take 6 minutes and check out the Senior YouTube video! Congratulations Seniors, this is what going to school is all about!!!
