Last night, East Sac County held a ceremony for induction of our students into ESC's Troope 12 of the International Thespian Society!! Congratulations to these twelve students: Paige Hout, Grant Golwitzer, Miika Grotluschen, Denae Thayer, Sarah Bontrager, Rachel King, Emma Carico, Lauryn Lally, Jaron Schramm, Jillian Pope, Libby Gullett and Liam Daggett





Mr. McCullough's shop class made the ESC preschoolers whisper phones out of some pvc piping. The little Raiders use these in the classroom for phonemic awareness lessons. The preschoolers loved having the "big kids" visit from the high school!!!

Elementary students are recognized for consistently following Raider expectations, putting forth their best effort, and being a difference maker within the school.

Junior High and High School students have been nominated and selected by staff for many reasons. Criteria can include being a role model for others, showing kindness, doing well academically, working to the best of their ability or having a positive attitude. On February 28th, 6th-8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in Farm Bureau's Ag Day at the JH/HS. Throughout the day, students sat in on 12 different sessions where they got to hear from people explain their career in the agriculture industry. There was a lot of great information shared; students really enjoyed the CPR demonstration, doing some hands-on welding, and most of all holding a baby goat! The High School FFA students also organized an Ag Olympics for students and staff to take part in. Thank you to Farm Bureau and the ESC FFA for bringing this opportunity to our ESC students!

The Preschool Parent Meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed to Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 PM.

Last week, East Sac County 7 through 12th grade students had the opportunity in their PE classes to have a week of archery provided by Dakota Popp from Sac County conservation and Danielle Bennett from Ida County conservation!! We want to give a thank you to each county conservation board for sending people in for these opportunities!






Our East Sac County 5th and 6th grade students enjoyed the pancakes at the annual Kiwanis Pancake Day!! Thank you for allowing us to attend!! As a reminder, they are serving tonight from 5 - 6:30 at the Sac City VFW.







The ESC Dance Corps Spring Show is March 15th at 7:00 PM. PK-8th grade students have the opportunity to be part of the show and participate in a Dance Camp that morning to prepare for the show. Here is the registration form. Hope to see you there!

ESC had 5 kids compete in 6 categories at the district individual speech contest in Whiting earlier today!!
Jillian Pope (solo musical), Paris McCrea (Improv), and Paige Hout (Prose) each received #2 ratings in their categories!
Liam Daggett (Solo musical), Grant Golwitzer (Acting), and Paige Hout (Poetry) all have received #1 rankings in their categories and will be going to the state competition, March 15th at Woodbury Central!!
Speech coach, Cassie Schachtner stated the following after their performances today, "I am very proud of all of them! We had some challenges finding time to practice due to snow days and illnesses but we did it! We are all excited to go to state!"



On Wednesday, ESC welcomed in a new group of performers into our new Troope 12, which is now the ESC Troope of the International Thespian Society.
The inductees for 2025: Paige Hout, Grant Golwitzer, Miika Grotluschen, Denae Thayer, Sarah Bontrager, Rachel King, Emma Carico, Lauryn Lally, Jaron Schramm, and Jillian Pope. Missing is Libby Gullett and Liam Daggett.
