Our East Sac County students have opportunities to learn information and skills inside and outside of the classroom through our School to Careers Program. This program allows students to work in a occupation during school hours to learn employment and job skills in an area the interests them. Students are held to expectations that are required of most workplaces. Congratulations to these students who decided to take part of this program from 1st semester of this school year!!!

Learning with Oreos? Absolutely! The Biology class is learning about mitosis and the reproduction of cells. In order to learn this process a bit better, these students participated in a hands-on activity in which they used Oreos and sprinkles to create the stages of mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase) as well as cytokinesis.

East Sac County CSD will be dismissing at 2:00 PM today (1/21/26) due to the forecasted weather potential in the northern part of our district. No evening activities.
Even with the cool weather, the kids always look forward to being outside out recess on our newer playground equipment!

Tomorrow is the next Blood Drive at ESC.
The American Red Cross is facing a SEVERE blood shortage as requests from hospitals exceed the available supply of blood. Hospitals already strained by the worst flu season in nearly 20 years are now also being forced to triage critical blood products. High flu activity in nearly every state may be sidelining donors, slowing efforts to rebuild the Red Cross national blood supply.
We need your help! If you are considering a donation, please do so tomorrow!
Questions: Please contact Jodi Reese @ jreese@eastsac.k12.ia.us
