🧵✨ Our Creative Sewing Class Has Been Busy! ✨🧵
The Creative Sewing class has been hard at work putting their skills to great use. Students recently finished sewing new cot sheets for Kids World, and they also created additional equipment bags for Mr. Bontrager’s PE classes.
We’re proud of their craftsmanship, teamwork, and dedication to serving others within our school community. Great job, students! ❤️🖤

📚✨ Mrs. Hunziker’s first grade class has been on an incredible learning adventure! For 9 weeks, each student chose a wild or endangered animal to research, learn about and write their own informative paper to be able to teach others about their animal.
At the start of the unit, they set a big goal: to be writers and illustrators and to be able to see their final work published. Through hard work, creativity, and dedication, they crafted an amazing class book—and now they are thrilled to see it as a real, published book!
We are so proud of our young authors and illustrators for turning their research into something they can be proud of, exciting, and be able to share with others. 🌟

For the first time ever in East Sac County school history, East Sac County will have two students representing our school at the All State Speech Festival! This is also the first time since 2017 that East Sac has qualified any individual for All State.
These talented students will perform at the festival on Monday, March 30th in Cedar Falls:
• Emma Carico – Musical Theatre
• Paige Hout – Poetry
Emma, a senior, will perform “I Dreamed a Dream” from the Broadway classic and film Les Misérables. She plans to attend Iowa Central Community College to study biology and participate in their theatre program.
Paige, a junior, will present a trilogy of self-written poems. After earning a Division I rating at last year’s State contest but not advancing, she set a goal to reach All State—and achieved it through determination and hard work.
🎉 Congratulations, Emma and Paige! Best of luck at the All State Festival—we are proud of you!

East Sac County was recently recognized as a Fields of Excellence Award Winner by Pioneer Paint! Only 100 fields in the entire nation received this honor — and just 4 of them were from Iowa.
Even more impressive, East Sac County has earned this award 16 times! 🔥
This recognition is a direct result of Steve Nuetzman’s hard work, pride, and dedication to maintaining the ball fields here at East Sac County. Steve, thank you for everything you do and for helping our district continue to shine! 👏
Congratulations, and thank you for representing ESC with excellence!

Last night’s 2026 Spring Dance Show was a huge success! 🌸✨
The girls brought so much energy, confidence, and heart to the performance. Their hard work truly showed in every routine, and it was fun to watch them shine.
The preschool through 8th grade routines were so much fun for the younger kids! The coed dance wis an absolute crowd favorite, full of personality and great teamwork! And of course, the parents’ dance adds fun to the night. It’s always special to see our families jump in and be part of the experience. And even more special when the senior girls dance with their dads at the end of the night.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the night possible, coaches, volunteers, parents and our amazing dancers! 💃🕺🎉

At school, we talk a lot about being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. This month, we’re focusing on what it means to be Responsible at Home!
Responsibility at home might look like:
• Cleaning up your toys or room
• Helping with chores
• Taking care of pets
• Finishing reading steps before screen time
• Getting ready for school on time
Family Discussion Question:
👉 What is one way you can show responsibility at home this week?
Talk about it together and help your child think of one small goal they can work on.
💬 We’d love to hear their ideas! Share your child’s response in the comments below.
