East Sac County Community Schools Attendance Policy
In Effect At All ESC CSD Schools - Due to a change in State Law
Why a new policy?
A change in state legislation requires a consistent district-wide policy and supports students to reach their fullest potential at school.
Absence Calculation:
The percentage thresholds apply to grading periods and are cumulative for the school year.
An absence will no longer be identified as excused or unexcused. Students who are not in school will be counted absent.
If A Student Misses 10% of the school days, a letter will be sent home.
If A Student Misses 15% of the school days, a Student Success Meeting will be held. (Includes student, parent, & building administrator)
If a Student Misses 20% of the school days, a Student Engagement Meeting will be held with the County Attorney. (Includes student, parent, & building administrator)

East Sac County is seeking 2 School Bus Route Drivers!
Starting pay is approximately $35 - $40/hour!
3 - 4 Hours per day.
Work hours are approximately 6:00 AM until the route is finished in the morning and 2:50 PM until the route is finished in the afternoon.
Drivers receive paid personal days, sick time, and IPERS once qualified.
Class B CDL, School Bus Endorsement, and Passenger Endorsement are required.
ESC will pay for the training and coursework if the selected candidate needs to acquire the credentials.

Absolutely AWESOME to have East Sac County students back in the buildings!!! Our PK-6 students were greeted by members of the ESC School Board for our first High Five Friday and were VERY EXCITED to use the new playground!!! 7-12 students learned about expectations and enjoyed seeing all their friends at lunch. GO RIADERS!!!

As East Sac County prepares to start another school year, we believe it is important to share some of our 2023-24 academic success with our community and families. The results shown is the comparison of East Sac Counties average ISASP (state testing) scores from 2022-23 to 2023-24 in Science, Math, and English Language Arts. We plan to use last years success as a starting point for our work this year! Academic growth like this takes EVERYONE! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped our students earn these results! This includes School Administration, Teachers, Associates, School Support Staff, Families, Parents, and most importantly the STUDENTS who put in the effort to learn and improve! Academic growth like this in one year is exceptional and should be celebrated!!!
