We are so proud of our Raiders who competed at Individual Speech Districts in Carroll. These students showed great confidence, and they all did a great job today.

This morning our East Sac County PK-6 graders were greeted by employees from Loring Hospital. Lots of high fives and morning greetings were given. Students were excited to see many familiar faces. Thank you for supporting our East Sac County School District and our community!

What a fantastic night of music at our HS Pops Concert! Our band and choir students put on an incredible performance featuring a wide variety of songs from some iconic movies.
From the high-energy hits of The Blues Brothers, to the magical world of Aladdin, the timeless classics of The Sound of Music, selections from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and so much more, there truly was something for everyone!
Our students’ hard work, talent, and dedication were on full display tonight. Thank you to our directors for the countless hours of preparation, and thank you to the families and community members who came out to support our kids.

We had a great day at our High School Career Fair!
With 32 businesses in attendance and 4 career presentations, our students were able to explore a wide variety of career paths and hear directly from professionals about what it takes to enter and succeed in different industries. And the benefits of working in those fields. From skilled trades and healthcare to finance, agriculture, military and more, it was a strong mixture of opportunities for our students to learn from.
While we were thrilled with the turnout and diversity of careers represented, we would look to grow and would love to see even more businesses involved in the future.
A huge thank you to IowaWorks for reaching out and helping in setting it up and to the businesses and professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to invest in our students. We truly appreciate your flexibility, your willingness to share your experiences, and your commitment to helping students better understand their futures.
We also want to recognize our staff for their work behind the scenes and their flexibility in making this event possible. It takes a team effort to create meaningful experiences like this for our students.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to:

🎭 Our 7th Grade Theatre Hex Students Take the Stage! 🎭
Students in 7th grade Theatre Hex have been busy building their acting skills over the past six weeks! They’ve explored the parts of the stage, learned about different types of roles, and practiced key performance strategies.
All of that hard work is coming together in a short 10-minute play, Cards on the Table! Students will even get the opportunity to watch their performance back and reflect on how much they’ve grown as performers.
We’re proud of their creativity, confidence, and commitment to stepping outside their comfort zones. Great job, 7th graders! 👏✨

The East Sac County Dance Corps has been invited to perform at halftime during the Girls State Basketball Tournaments in Des Moines!
They will take the court at halftime of the 2A tournament game on Tuesday, March 3 at 8:30 p.m. 🎉
This is an incredible honor, and we are so proud of the team for this outstanding opportunity. A special congratulations to our dedicated coaches, Alycia Sporrer and Connie Smith, for their leadership and hard work in guiding these talented dancers. 💙
Be sure to cheer them on as they represent East Sac with pride! 💃✨

Next week, East Sac County will join FFA chapters across the country in celebrating National FFA Week, and our chapter has a full lineup of activities planned!
We’re kicking things off on Monday night, taking students to Newell to compete in four different contests—a great way to start the week strong!
Throughout the week, students can look forward to:

✨ Ice Cream Social
✨ Ag Olympics
✨ Daily lunchtime trivia to test ag and FFA knowledge

Mr. McCollough's Basic Construction students recently completed a fantastic hands-on project, building and installing brand-new bookshelves for the Ar-We-Va Community School District library!
Not only did they sharpen their technical skills, but they also made a lasting impact for a neighboring school community.
Great job representing our school and showcasing the power of career and technical education! 👏

East Sac County seniors Emmalinn Carico and Liam Daggett, along with junior Keira Stilwell, had an incredible opportunity to perform in the Lake View Murder Mystery Dinner Theater this past weekend!
These talented students received their scripts just last week, began rehearsals at 3:00 PM on Saturday, and took the stage for the 6:30 PM performance. Much of the show was improvised, and Emma, Liam, and Keira did a fantastic job staying in character and interacting with audience members throughout the evening!
👏 A big thank you as well to the several ESC students who volunteered to assist the caterers and help serve the meal.
What a great experience and wonderful exposure to ESC’s growing theater department! 🎬✨
