The East Sac Raiders take down Pocahontas by a score of 35-6 to improve to a 6-1 record on the season. 💪
Next Friday is our last home game of the regular season as we take on Emmetsburg! Let’s pack the stands, bring the energy, and show our Raiders some support as they finish out the regular season!!

🐷 Agriculture in the Classroom 🐷
Alayna Hansen from Loess Hills Ag in the Classroom returned to ESC Elementary today to teach our Kindergarten and 2nd grade students all about pigs!
Students learned about how farmers raise pigs through a video and presentation, as well as the many products we use and enjoy that come from pigs. The best part of the visit? Live piglets! 🐖 Our students had the opportunity to meet and pet the piglets while learning more about pigs and agriculture.

Our Ag Business students have been learning about loans and interest rates, and on Thursday, October 1, they had the opportunity to learn from local ag loan officers Kaitlyn Hoefling and Daltyn Swanger.
Kaitlyn and Daltyn presented to the class about different types of loans, interest rates, what is needed when applying for a loan, and how to determine whether a purchase is affordable when using a loan.

On Friday, we kicked off our new Raider Recognition!
In the past, we used to recognize just one student per grade level each month for Student of the Month. But this year, we want to celebrate everyone who works hard, treats others with kindness, and makes great choices consistently. Throughout the year, we will have five special recognition celebrations where students can earn certificates! Our goal with this is to support every student to learn the skills needed to take ownership of their future!
There are three levels of recognition:
⭐Ready Raiders - Consistently managing emotions and staying calm
⭐Connected Raiders - Consistently showing respect and having positive relationships with others
⭐Responsible Raiders - Consistently using problem solving skills and looking for solutions
Students can earn a certificate in one, two or all three of these areas. If they meet the criteria for every level they are a Raider All-Star!!
Congratulations to all our Raiders who earned a certificate today!
