On May 14 th 2025 the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) members toured three businesses to learn the
history of the business and the day-to-day operations. The three businesses visited were Windstar in Carroll, Mary’s
Care in Wall Lake, and First State Bank in Lake View. FBLA is a student organization where students can learn about
business, network with other members and business owners, and even compete in business competitions. All
members of FBLA were given this great opportunity. Our plan is to explore as many of these opportunities as possible
so that the members get to see a wide array of careers in the business world. Students were exposed to three very
different businesses: a family-owned bus charter company that also owns Star Destinations, Town and Country
Travel, and Star Express Truck Lines; a medical clinic that offers primary care, cosmetic options, and esthetics; a
bank that offers many different banking products, loans, and insurance. It was a great opportunity and learning
experience. A big thank you goes out to these three businesses.

Thank you to Westside State Bank for your sponsorship!

While school it out for our students, our K-6 teachers spent two days working with Garnet Hillman from Solution Tree on quality assessment practices including work to be consistent across the building in our grading practices!!!

Hey, have you heard?!
There is a new golf tournament and this year is the inaugural year! If you have not heard and want to get involved, do not worry there are still a few spots left for teams to golf and still opportunities for sponsors!
Swing Fore The Kids was created FOR THE KIDS!! This tournament is designed as a fun way for East Sac County supporters to come together and fundraise in a big way that will help ALL activities and athletics year round for grades 7-12.
There may be a few individual fundraisers throughout the year, but our hope is to save the kids their efforts on fundraisers that provide little return on their participation and investment. Swing Fore The Kids is a golf tournament that will provide 100% of all the proceeds directly to the activities and athletics.
The next few posts are a start to thank our sponsors for making this event possible! They will be posted daily at 2:00 PM!
If you want to learn more about sponsorship or reserving your golf team please comment/message and we will be in touch!

On Wednesday, May 14th, the 2nd graders got to do their "Jump Up" Day in the 3rd grade classrooms. Mrs. Peters, Mrs. Brotherton, and the current 3rd graders talked to the 2nd graders about what to expect next year. The 2nd graders are excited to make the "jump" around the corner to the next hallway!

The East Sac County 4th grade visited the Sac City Museum on Friday to extend their learning about westward expansion. They also dropped off their Class of 2033 time capsule, which will be returned to them when they are seniors.
