
Due to increasing interest and numbers, East Sac County is looking for a Part Time Preschool Teacher to teach 1 section of either AM or PM 4 year old Preshcool for the 2024-25 school year.
East Sac County Community Schools is seeking qualified applicants to serve as a Part Time Preschool Classroom Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. This position will include teaching either an AM section, or a PM section of 4 year old Preschool. This position will be supported by a teacher associate who has experience working with preschool students. This position is open until filled. Applicants who apply early will be given preference. Interviews will be conducted as quality applicants apply. The application deadline for this position is April 19th 2024. Various coaching opportunities exist for the 24-25 school year as well!
East Sac County CSD is located in beautiful Northwest/North Central Iowa and comprised of Sac City, Lake View, Wall Lake, and Auburn. The 7-12 building is located in Lake View. Our communities offer many recreational areas including Black Hawk Lake along with several thriving small businesses and restaurants. We are located right south of Hwy 20 and are 1 hour from Sioux City, 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Okoboji Great Lakes, and two hours from Des Moines and Omaha. The successful candidate will be supported by the Elementary Principal, an Assistant Principal, Veteran Elementary Teachers from within the district, a mentoring program, the Superintendent, and the East Sac County Board of Education. Congratulations to Ashley Vaca & Jayden Carnine!! Both received awards at the 2024 Twin Lakes Conference Art Competition!!!
Ashley received a 2nd place ribbon in the Drawing (Chromatic) category for her artwork titled “Chilling”.
Jayden received a 2nd place ribbon in the Sculpture & 3D Mixed Media category for her artwork titled “Angel Numbers (333)”.
East Sac County was represented by 14 students, with 11 works of art entered. Nine schools competed in this year’s contest. Over 100 works of art were entered. Students spent the day viewing peer works of art, attending Art workshops and sharing stories & experiences during the lunch provided by ICCC. Students (& teachers) enjoyed the day filled with all things ART!!!



Our 3rd Graders are working on measuring objects to the nearest 1/2 and 1/4 of an inch. Not only are learning an important life skill, they are learning a practical use for fractions!!!

Last week our 4th-6th grade students reached their 3rd quarter PBIS goal by following Raider PRIDE expectations! Students earn tickets in their classroom by following expectations; once their classroom jar is full, those tickets go into a school wide jar in the lunchroom. When the lunchroom jar is full, all students get to participate in an activity. This quarter, students went to the gym to participate in a Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown, complete the Hula Hoop Link pass, and see just how long they could hula! Everyone had a lot of fun cheering on their classmates!!!

Seventeen East Sac County junior high volleyball players have received academic awards from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU). For each activity season, the IGHSAU and the Iowa Farm Bureau sponsor the “On-A-Roll Academic Recognition Award,” which is given to students who improve their grades during the season, or continue to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Earlier this week nine East Sac County Senior High students competed at the regional Mock Trial competition at the Sioux City Convention Center. For the first round our students represented the State of Iowa, and for the next round they represented the defense in the case. East Sac County is proud to offer these extracurricular opportunities to our students who wish to participate!!!




State testing will be upon us in April. Our 3rd graders have been working on forming opinions and writing in preparation! Good job kids, way to work hard and prepare!!!

On Tuesday, March 12th, K-3rd grade students reached their 3rd quarter PBIS goal by following Raider PRIDE expectations! When the lunchroom jar is full, all students get to participate in an activity. This quarter, the activity was Rick Eugene’s Absolute Science Program. Students had the opportunity to see items disappear in clear liquids with refraction oil, watch the power of a Van de Graaff generator, and take part in a foam experiment. The students really enjoyed being able to take part in these experiments!!!





East Sac Community Schools is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Full Time Accounts Receivable/Media Manager/Central Office Secretary to start on or around April 15th 2024. Deadline for applications is March 29th. This individual will work in the East Sac County Central Office located in Lake View IA. This person should possess some knowledge and skills in accounting, book keeping, marketing, general office duties, and the ability to use technology.
