Family and community connections are an important part of our ESC Preschool Program. ❤️
On Friday, April 17th, our ESC Preschool students welcomed special visitors to celebrate Donuts with Dudes! All in attendance enjoyed freshly baked donuts and juice courtesy of our amazing ESC Food Service staff.
Students and their guests listened to a story, colored a sweet picture, and played Donut Tic Tac Toe. It was the perfect way to wrap up NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child—and such a sweet celebration of the important people in our students’ lives!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day! 🍩💙✨

While May 1st was traditionally the date colleges required admission decisions, Decision Day has grown into a celebration of ALL post-graduation pathways — community colleges, public universities, private institutions, the military, the workforce, and apprenticeships. We are proud of every student and the unique journey they’re beginning!
A huge thank you to Ms. Wood and Pura's Brewtique for providing delicious cupcakes to make the day even sweeter! 🧁
ESC is excited to see where the Class of 2026 will go next!

🌾 FFA State Convention Highlights
East Sac County had great success at the 98th Iowa FFA Leadership Conference held April 20–21 at Iowa State University! Twenty-seven students in grades 7–12 attended and participated in 11 different contests, proudly representing our district.
A few highlights from the event include:
Treasurer’s Book received 3rd place in the state
Secretary’s Book received 3rd place in the state
Luke Steinkamp received 2nd place in Public Speaking
We are incredibly proud of all our students who competed, presented, and represented ESC with pride. Great job, Raiders! 🌟

Students were challenged to complete fillet welds in four different welding positions—including flat, horizontal, and overhead—each requiring precise technique and accuracy. Thanks to the practice and preparation they put in here at school, our students felt confident and ready to compete.
We are extremely proud of how well our Raiders represented East Sac County among more than 120 welders from multiple schools. They also had the opportunity to hear from Union 33 members and learn about career pathways supported through their education program.
A huge shoutout to our participants:
• Raymond Cornelius
• Carter Rudd
• Hayden Barthman
• Luke Steinkamp
Great job, Raiders! Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn new skills make us proud. We look forward to participating in this contest again in the future! 🔥🛠️👏
